News Releases 2026Making Waves for Cleaner Waterways

Small actions can create ripples of positive change.

In conjunction with Environment Day, Meiden Singapore joined Waterways Watch Society (WWS) for a kayak clean-up activity aimed at protecting Singapore’s waterways. This marked our second year working with WWS on environmental conservation efforts.

Our volunteers paddled along the waterways to collect floating litter and debris that could pollute the water and harm aquatic life. The activity also helped participants better understand how everyday waste affects the environment and why everyone has a part to play in keeping our waterways clean.

Through teamwork and hands-on action, our colleagues contributed to cleaner waterways while gaining a deeper appreciation of Singapore’s precious water resources.

The initiative forms part of Meiden Singapore’s environmental, social and governance efforts, supporting our commitment to environmental stewardship, sustainable practices and community involvement.

We thank Waterways Watch Society for facilitating the activity and our volunteers for their enthusiastic participation. Together, we can help protect our waterways and create a cleaner, more sustainable environment for future generations.
