Product Features
For AC power feeding system for railways, it requires a large capacity single phase AC power supply. However, in Japan, by regulations, it is not allowed to produce single-phase power from a single-phase high-voltage or ultra high-voltage. Therefore, it is necessary to produce single-phase power from a three-phase high-voltage or ultra high-voltage power.
Given above, a special connection transformer has been adopted. This effectively makes 2 sets of single-phase power from the three-phase power without giving the bad effect of voltage fluctuation or three-phase voltage unbalance at the the power-receiving side.

This transformer is applied to a neutral non-grounded high-voltage power network (equal or less than 11 kV to 154 kV ).
Roof-delta connection transformer
This transformer is applied to a neutral grounded ultra high-voltage power network (187 kV or less).
