MEIDEN Group employees are found active in every corner of the world.
The "MEIDEN Unity Project" is a project that is intended to enhance a "sense of unity" among us.
This page will show you new aspects of the MEIDEN Group.
On Saturday 21 October, the "Meiden Group Sports Festa" was held in a sports complex in Nagaizumi Health Park, Shizuoka. The first sports event in the Meiden Group that has sought participants from Group companies across Japan was attended by 333 participants in 22 teams, including family members of the participating employees.
The participants including Meiden Group officers enjoyed themselves by earnestly playing in the competitions of free-throw, long-rope jumping, medicine ball and tug of war. At lunch break was held a quiz game for employees' children, creating a friendly and sweet atmosphere in the venue.
The overall victory was won by "Dynamometer System Factory Team with "T&D Products Factory Team" as the runner-up and "System Equipment Factory Team" in the third place. The result of each competition is as follows.
The Sports Festa provided opportunities for employees in different districts or departments to know each other better, and helped boost a sense of unity and a feeling that they were connected to each other.
The 120th anniversary events are approaching the climax now. We at the Meiden Group will all unite and enliven the climax.
The overall winner was "Team Dynamometer System Factory." (The Dynamometer System Factory produces automobile testing systems.) Their teamwork in building systems worked at its best in this Sports Festa, too.
During July to September, we organized a "workplace tour," the first of such event in the Headquarter Offices in Tokyo, and "Summer Festivals" in the factories in Numazu, Ohta and Nagoya. The total of 3,800 Meiden Group employees and their families participated in these events.
The Workplace Tour provided an opportunity for employees' families to visit the employees' workplaces. A quiz contest was held during the tour for young family members to deepen their understanding on Meidensha's businesses and products.
The Summer Festivals turned to be very exciting with employees joining in a passionate singing of "One to Love - one with heart" and professional comedians' live performance.
Keeping such precious moments in our mind and proceeding further in firming up our sense of unity, we will work to give a boost to the 120th anniversary cerebration.

Phrases or thoughts that would make the song had been sought among Meiden Group employees in a call for entries entitled "Your words will make a song."
More than 2,000 entries had been submitted from across the world and those entries having passed a careful pre-screening have been voted on by Group employees to determine the final selection, which was then passed on to a music production company. The image song has now been complete that is brimmimg with our thoughts and feelings.
The employees whose phrases had been ranked high in the voting were awarded in February. We asked them about their thoughts and feelings they had put in their phrases.
- Meidensha started its business from the scratch and has expanded its relations with many people through its products, business and services. Now, 120 years on, it has grown to be a company that loves people and is loved by people. I put my wish in my phrase that we should long remain such a company.
- When I heard this was to foster a sense of unity, it reminded me of the corporate philosofy. It is a guiding principle for employees on how to behave, and I thought that was just it that would light the way for all of us to follow and would generate a sense of unity among us.
- I put in my respect for our predecessors who created things that had not existed before and had opened new ways. I also put in a wish that we inherit such spirits and develop our future that lies ahead of us.
- I would like us to become a hope for the future lying ahead of us and continue serving society for happiness of many people, not only people in Japan but also people all across the world, helping lead them to a bright future. I put in such wishes in my phrase.
The image song that is full of our thoughts and wishes will be open to public in April. Don't miss the words in the lyrics.

An image song will be created to enhance the "sense of unity" among MEIDEN Group members on this memorable occasion of the 120th anniversary of the company's founding.
Melody and lyrics are currently being produced based on the phrases submitted from employees to express "their thoughts", including "their feelings of gratitude for the past" and "their feelings towards the future."
We will post the song that will be the culmination of the project on this website, and will bring to you the power of MEIDEN Group employees as they challenge further, energetically and positively.
