Meiden completed the entire Power Supply and Distribution System Contract for Malaysia KVMRT

The largest Urban Transport Railway, Klang Valley MRT SBK Line project, Malaysia ( herein after KVMRT ) has been completed and officially opened by Dato' Sri Mohd Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak on 17th July 2017.

Meidensha Corporation and Meiden Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. has successfully completed the Power Supply and Distribution System along the whole line which consisting 341 sets of 33kV GIS, 46 sets of Rectifier and Rectifier Transformer, 23 sets of Regenerative system (AARU), 229 sets of 750V DC switchgear, 395 sets of DC Isolator, 4 sets of 2400kW Diesel Generator , Power SCADA and approximately 475km of 33kV Power Cables

KVMRT is the 51km from Sungai Buloh located at north-wet of Kuala Lumpur to Kajang at south-east of city passing through center of Kuala Lumpur with 9.5km underground tunnel. The line has 31 stations of which 7 are underground. The ultimate daily ridership is expected about 400,000passengers and targeting the 50% of all journey in the Greater Kuala Lumpur / Klang Valley region to be on the public transport to be achieved and contribute to the economic development of outlying neighborhoods along the line.

Meidensha has supplied the power system for PUTRA LRT2 (currently known as Kelana Jaya LRT), KL Monorail and kept continued the technical support to date. With the completion of KVMRT, we will continue supporting the integrated public transport for the economic development and comfortable life of Malaysia.
