Meiden was awarded the contract for substation equipment for Kanazawa-Tsuruga section of Hokuriku Shinkansen Line
Meiden has received an order to provide substation equipment for eight substations on the Hokuriku Shinkansen’s Kanazawa-Tsuruga section, which will open in 2023.

The JPY2.61 billion contract was awarded in an open tendering process by the Japan Railway Construction, Transport and Technology Agency (JRTT), an independent administrative operation.

Meiden has provided substation equipment for Shinkansen lines across Japan. Meiden will provide the Hokuriku Shinkansen substations with equipment including transformers for feeding systems, control boards, AC circuit breakers and surge arresters. Meiden provides safe, reliable equipment manufactured based on its many years of experience in the industry.

Meiden plans to continue contributing to the safe transportation of passengers by participating in planned projects to extend Shinkansen lines across the nation.
